She Means Business: Empowering
female leaders

The MFAA is proud to partner with the Council of Small Business Organisations Australia (COSBOA) in launching She Means Business – a new pilot program designed to increase gender diversity in small mortgage and finance brokerages and empower female business leaders.

Funded by the Federal Government and developed by COSBOA, this initiative will provide up to 10 MFAA member businesses across NSW, Victoria and Queensland with:
• Tailored business support and leadership development
• Blended training (online and in person)
• Access to mentoring and sector-specific insights
• Support to implement diversity-focused initiatives

Participation in the pilot will help shape practical, scalable solutions that can benefit the entire small business community.

Why this pilot matters
She Means Business will focus on real change, not just visibility. By supporting women in small mortgage and finance brokerages, we’re helping build a stronger, more inclusive industry.

This opportunity is open to mortgage and finance broking businesses with fewer than 20 employees and have a passion for improving diversity. Participants must be available for training, mentoring, interviews and feedback sessions from June 2025 to March 2026.
